Our apartments are located in a newly constructed tenement house from 2021. Its style corresponds to the historic architecture from the Gründerzeit period of the 19th century, and resembles the style of other buildings in the area. A modern building with a lift and underground car park in the heart of Neustadt – surely the most original district of Dresden.
Opposite our building you will find one of the attractions of Neustadt, namely: Kunsthofpassage. It is a passage across courtyards between two streets: Alaunstrasse and Görlitzer Strasse. Each of them is designed around a different subject, you can see sculptures, artistic installations, cafes, handicraft shops and small galleries. One of the curiosities of the place is individually designed facades of buildings. One in an African style, in which sculptures on the facade intermingle with balconies or; or a system of rain gutters forming an artistic structure. Every hour you can see how this interesting and complicated system of rain pipes works!
On the right bank of the Elbe River, in a fashionable, colourful disco district of Neustadt you will find everything: small shops, legendary cafes and nightlife of Dresden. Dresden’s Neustadt is vibrant! A typical feature of this legendary district, with its culinary, trading and cultural diversity, is a network of densely built-up streets – and the greatest density in Dresden in terms of catering facilities! Once a year this district celebrates a one-weekend-long BRD festival (German: Bunte Republik Neustadt) which is a celebration of Colourful Republic of Neustadt. Streets change into concert stages and round every corner you can hear live music, meet artists, try various attractions and, more importantly, meet friendly and open people.
